Shabba Ranks mother, Mama Christie, dies

Heartfelt condolences go out to dancehall icon, Shabba Ranks, and his family as his mother, Mama Christie, has died. She was 81 years old.

Real name, Constance Christie, she came to prominence after Shabba’s emergence in the 90s as one of Jamaican music’s greatest products. She was also featured in the video for Dexta Daps smash hit, Shabba Modda Pot, in 2015. She is a highly regarded figure in the Seaview Gardens community.
