After a long time out of the spotlight, reggae legend Chronixx returns to the scene with his first studio album in eight years, appropriately called “Exile.”

The Grammy-nominated artiste announced his new LP on his Instagram page on Oct. 8., revealing the full track listing for the feature-length project. Among the tracks are “Never Give Up,” which Chronixx initially released in 2022 and was his most recent single. Additionally, the album features songs such as “Hurricane,” (seen below), “Don’t Be Afraid” and “Love on the Mountain.”

“Exile” is Chronixx’s first studio album since his 2017 project, “Chronology,” which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album and launched him into mainstream stardom overseas. The album’s confirmation also follows a previously announced LP, ”Dela Splash.” Chronixx announced that album in March 2020, accompanied by the release of the album’s first single, “Dela Move,” that year. However, “Dela Splash” was never released.

Chronixx’s album is now available on all digital platforms in Japan, Australia and New Zealand, where it’s Oct. 10, the revered singer’s 33rd birthday. The album will also be available across Europe and North America on the same day. “Exile” is being released via the Forever Living Originals label and was produced by Dean Josiah Cover aka Inflo, the leader of SAULT, a UK-based music collective that Chronixx has been a part of for several years.
