Big congratulations to Reggae Girlz and Manchester City striker, Khadija Shaw, on being named as one of the nominees for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or. The nominees were announced on Sept. 6 by France Football.
With this nomination, Shaw becomes the first Jamaican national senior team player, male or female, to receive such a nod. She goes up against talents such as Nigeria and Barcelona star, Asisat Oshoala, Colombian starlet, Linda Caicedo, and Spanish World Cup winner, Aitana Bonmati, who is considered the favourite to win the award.
