Khadija Shaw scores historic goal for Reggae Girlz in Olympic Qualifiers

Reggae Girlz striker, Khadija Shaw, has been on an absolute tear in 2019 and her latest heroics in Olympic Qualifiers helped her to achieve two records!

With her five-goal haul on Tuesday night against the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bunny became Jamaica’s all-time leading international scorer (40), surpassing the retired Luton Shelton (35).

Furthermore, the 22-year-old Bordeaux star became the youngest woman in CONCACAF to ever reach the 40-goal plateau. 16 of her goals for the Girlz have come in 2019 alone (11 appearances). Here’s a clip of the 40th!

The Reggae Girlz advanced from their group in the Caribbean round of the 2020 Olympic qualifiers, defeating Cuba, St. Lucia, Barbados and the U.S. Virgin Islands by a combined scored of 37-1. They will take on the likes of reigning back-to-back world champions, United States, Canada, Mexico and more.
