Krystal Tomlinson named new PNPYO president

Media personality and social advocate, Krystal Tomlinson, has been named the new president of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO), according to multiple reports.

Tomlinson, the girlfriend of dancehall megastar, Beenie Man, was confirmed as the PNP youth wing’s new leader after questions were raised regarding the effectiveness of outgoing president, Connoly Black. Black resigned from her post on Tuesday, clearing the way for Tomlinson, a member of the PNPYO since 2013, to take over.

Tomlinson has already stated that she is hitting the ground running as she will be addressing emotional and regulation management and is familiarising herself with Black’s work in the role. She also credited PNP stalwart, Damion Crawford, for inspiring her decision.

A long-time advocate for youth empowerment, Tomlinson has been involved in various societal initiatives for young people and is a well-developed public speaker. This has been her passion aside from her more popular roles, that including hosting programs on Television Jamaica (TVJ) such as Nyammings and E-Prime. She also competed in the Miss Jamaica World pageant in 2015.

Tomlinson has been dating Beenie Man for the last few years, with their relationship becoming public knowledge in 2016.
