Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce – The Final Lap

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce celebrates after her final race at Tokyo 2025

Oh, sweet Shelly-Ann, what a joy it has been to witness your incredible journey and success over the years. From 2007 until now, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce embodied sheer dominationโ€”always rising to the challenge, never backing down. You are without doubt the greatest 100m sprinter of all time, and one of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen.

Shelly, you have shown us that regardless of age or past achievements, there is always more to be accomplished. You proved that success has no deadlineโ€”that it can be achieved at any stage of life. A well-oiled machine, you stood as a model of discipline, determination, and excellence. Few athletes can say theyโ€™ve had a career like yours. If you ask any competitor, they will say they wish for a run even half as successful as Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryceโ€™s.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Has an Unmatched Legacy

Your talent knew no bounds, always pushing the barriers of what athletes can achieve. We are grateful to have seen you shine on the world stage. Regardless of age, you always qualified with a Big Qโ€”never a little one. Thatโ€™s right: it has always been Big Shelly, never small Shelly.

You could have stepped away after Doha 2019, but here we are six years laterโ€”still watching you medal, still seeing you as a force to be reckoned with. It is bittersweet to see you go, but it has been an absolute joy to watch your career unfold.

We hope to continue seeing you in track and field, whether as a coach, mentor, brand ambassador, or in any other role you choose. Whatever path you take, your legacy is already etched in history.

We wish you all the best, and with love and respect, we say: Bon Voyage, Shelly-Ann!
