Elaine Thompson Herah claims historic double at Tokyo 2020

Elaine Thompson Herah wins 200 m final in Tokyo
With all due respect to the NBA, Elaine Thompson Herah may have achieved the greatest double-double of all time!
After a record-breaking performance in the women’s 100 m on Saturday, Thompson-Herah created more history on Tuesday. She won the women’s 200 m final (21.53 secs) at Tokyo 2020.
With that win, Thompson-Herah is the first woman ever to win back-to-back Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles gold medals 🥇🥇
Additionally, she’s just the second person ever to win back-to-back 100 m and 200 m titles. The other, as you may have guessed, is fellow Jamaican legend, Usain Bolt.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, meanwhile, finished 4th (21.93 secs) in what’s likely her final solo run at an Olympics. Salute to one of the greatest to touch the Olympic stage 🙌
