Toshani Calvin crowned new Miss Universe Jamaica

Toshami Calvin will soon be representing Jamaica on the global stage after taking home the Miss Universe Jamaica crown on Saturday night’s coronation show.

The 26-year-old from St. Thomas succeeds Daena Soares as the winner of the annual pageant. Calvin is the cousin of fellow St. Thomas native and two-time Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh.

Calvin will compete for Jamaica at the 2022 Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for January 2023 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
