Shanique Singh wins Miss Jamaica World 2022

The travel-loving medical student takes home the MJW sash ahead of Miss World 2022

Three years after Toni-Ann Singh won the pageant and turned it into two-time Miss World 👑, Shanique Singh took home the 2022 MJW crown 👑 at the coronation show Sunday night at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston.
Lineisha Davis took the runner-up spot while Tahje Bennett finished third. She succeeds last year’s Miss Jamaica World, Khalia Hall.
Singh is a 25-year-old medical student attending the University of the West Indies. She won multiple fast-track events ahead of Sunday’s coronation show. She previously competed in the Miss Jamaica Universe pageant this past September.

Singh seeks to become the fifth Jamaican to win Miss World. Carole Crawford, Cindy Breakspeare, Lisa Hanna and the above-mentioned Toni-Ann Singh have taken home the prestigious crown.
Miss World 2022 is expected to be held in the spring of 2023, though there is no confirmed date or location for the pageant.
Here’s the moment Singh became the new Miss Jamaica World.
