Konya Plummer wins league title with Fenerbahce

Konya Plummer celebrates the Turkish Women's Super Lig title with Fenerbahce

Issa champion gyal flex for the Reggae Girlz’s rock at the back! Congratulations to defensive ace Konya Plummer, who helped Fenerbahçe win the Turkish 🇹🇷 Women’s Super League for the first time.

Plummer moved to Fenerbahçe in 2024 from the Mexican side Tigres, looking to prove herself in Europe after a previous stint with the Swedish side AIK Fotbol. Fenerbahçe finished 3rd and 2nd respectively in each of the last two seasons before their triumph this season.

With the league title win, Fenerbahce notched a place in next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League second qualifying round. It’s the second league title for the 28-year-old Plummer, who previously won the Mexican top-flight trophy with Tigres.

Along with next season’s Champions League, Plummer hopes to lead Jamaica to a third straight Women’s World Cup this fall. The Reggae Girlz will take on Costa Rica in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF W Championship, where a win would seal a berth at the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
