Kingston College and Edwin Allen take Champs 2022 titles

The ISSA/Grace Kennedy Boys & Girls Championships were well and truly back this year and lived up to expectations as Kingston College and Edwin Allen were crowned champions 🏆 on Saturday night.

KC (372 points) took the title from defending champs and this year’s runner-up, Jamaica College (301 points), winning for the first time since 2019. Calabar High School (170 points) finished third.

Meanwhile, Edwin Allen (352 points) nabbed an 8th straight title, the third-longest streak in Girls Champs history. Hydel High (297 points) and. St. Jago High (249 points) rounded out the top three.

Here are some of Saturday’s highlights, including Hydel’s Brianna Lyston shattering the Class 1 200 m record (22.53 secs), Kingston College taking the 1600 sprint relay medley and Edwin Allen’s record-breaking Class 1 4 x 100 m run.
