Leon Bailey finally pledges allegiance to Reggae Boyz

Things are about to get ‘Chippy’ in CONCACAF. Welcome to the Reggae Boyz Leon Bailey! The Bayer Leverkusen star confirmed on Wednesday that he will represent his country after accepting a call-up from national team coach, Theodore Whitmore, and the Jamaica Football Federation.

Bailey previously accepted a call-up to join the national setup last October during CONCACAF Nations League qualifying. However, he decided against joining the national team after a breakdown in communication between himself and the J.F.F.

He is expected to lead Jamaica’s charge for a third straight CONCACAF Gold Cup final appearance and first title this June when the Boyz open their tournament at the National Stadium against Honduras.
