Briana Williams secures historic sprint double at 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships

It’s getting increasingly difficult to find superlatives to describe just how good 16-year-old phenom Briana Williams is becoming!

The Jamaican made history on Saturday in Tampere, Finland as she became the youngest person ever to complete the 100/200 m sprint double at the IAAF World U20 Championships in Athletics.

This after Williams (22.50 secs) set a meet record in the women’s 200 m, breezing past the USA’s Lauren Rain Williams (23.09 secs) and Martyna Kotwila (23.21 secs) in second and third respectively. Here’s her run!
