Khadija Shaw has earned several major individual accolades to celebrate in a great career. Now she has the major team hardware to match.
Congratulations to the Reggae Girlz 🇯🇲 ace on winning the Barclays Women’s Super League title 🏆 with Manchester City Women. Shaw scored twice in City’s 2-1 win over West Ham in their season finale. That brace helped her finish with 21 goals on the season as she and her squad lifted the trophy.
Shaw is the first FA WSL player ever to win three straight Golden Boot awards for being the league’s top scorer. The Spanish Town native is also the first FA WSL player to score 20 or more league goals in three different campaigns.
Bunny could wrap up more silverware with City in what could be her final season at the club. City will take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the final of the Women’s FA Cup. The cup final will be played at Wembley Stadium on May 31.
Shaw will be out of contract at City following the FA Cup final. Multiple reports claim her five-season run at City will likely come to an end after failing to agree on a new deal. Shaw is City’s all-time leading goal scorer with 117 goals in 137 appearances.
