Leon Bailey set for Aston Villa switch

Today’s big sports day gets bigger! Multiple reports have confirmed that Leon Bailey 🇯🇲⚽️ is on his way to the English Premier League.

Aston Villa has announced the signing of Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen. The deal, reportedly for £30m, is set to be completed next week.

Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Leon Bailey subject to the player completing a medical and finalising personal terms.

The Reggae Boyz starhas  spent the last four and a half seasons in Leverkusen. He won a spot on the Bundesliga Team of the Season following his debut season in 2017/18. He also was named the Newcomer of the Year.

Additionally, in 2019/20, Bailey reached the Geman Cup (DFB Pokal) final and made three appearances in the UEFA Champions League.

He is coming off his most prolific campaign in 2020/21 with 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
