Fedrick Dacres captures first world championship medal

It’s been a long time coming for Fedrick Dacres. The much-heralded discus thrower, who has won Pan Am and Commonwealth Games gold 🥇, has finally got his hands on a world championship medal.

Dacres, with a high mark of 66.94 m, won silver in the men’s discus final 🥈 at the 2019 IAAF World Championships on Monday. #TeamJamaica now has two golds and two silvers so far at the worlds.
