Team Jamaica rounds off World Championships with trio of silver medals

Britany Anderson celebrates silver medal and national record at 2022 IAAF World Championships

Talk about a silver lining to end a successful IAAF World Championships, pun intended!

Britany Anderson is only 21 but keeps mastering these hurdles like a vet, setting a new national record (12.31 secs) and winning silver 🥈 in the women’s 100 m hurdles final.

Meanwhile, the men’s 4 x 400m team: Akeem Bloomfield –> Nathon Allen —> Jevaughn Powell —> Christopher Taylor ensured the men didn’t leave Eugene empty-handed, copping silver 🥈 in the final (2:58:58).

The women’s 4 x 400m team: Candice McLeod –> Janieve Russell –> Stephenie-Ann McPherson –> Charokee Young earned the same result 🥈 in their final (3:20:47).

Team Jamaica 🇯🇲 ends the Worlds with 10 medals (2 gold, 7 silver, 1 bronze), the third best at the championships.

Jamaica’s next assignment is at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, running from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England.
